Zupan  Can't  spend most of his time in a wheelchair but he  Can stand up and take a few steps for a short time. He  Can't go Walking or running, but he Can play quad rugby He  Has to be careful about his diet so he doesnt get out of shape. He doesn't have complete use of his hands, but he Can  he lift  weights he Can't  drive a car using his feet, but he Can Use his hands. A lot of people think quadriplegics Can't do anything but Zupan proves that they Can. 

B. SUMMARIZE First, complete the paragraph about Bethany Hamilton, Use the simple present tense or the present continuous. Then write a similar paragraph, summarizing Mark Zupans routines.

When she surfs, Hamilton uses her legs to help her go in the right direction. She has a prosthetic arm, but she hardly ever wears it. She competes regularity with the world's top professional women surfers. In the photo on page 70. She is competing against other surfers with two arms, she is wearing a T-shirt and standing on her surfboard. Hamilton wants to help other people with difficult experiences follow their dreams.

Mark Zupan

Mark Zupan is a person who suffered a terrible accident when he was only 18 years old, this accident left him a quadriplegic and as a consequence his lifestyle changed forever. At first, he could move his legs and arms with great difficulty, but after a while he was able to move his wheelchair and sometimes he can even get up from the wheelchair and take a few steps in a short time. Mark Zupan became a quad rugby player and became a champion by helping his team win the gold medal at the Paralympic Games.

Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton is a surfer who suffered a shark attack that left her without an arm, however, she did not give up and a month later she went back to surfing. Currently she is a very competitive professional surfer because she only uses one arm and although she has a prosthesis she almost never uses it, especially when she is surfing. She often appears on TV shows with a nice message for people to follow their dreams and don't give up no matter what.
